Santa Speedo Dash

Saturday, December 9 has been set for the 6th Annual Santa Speedo Dash benefitting the Central Ohio Diabetes Association (an Agency of LifeCare Alliance) at The Three-Legged Mare in the Arena District. Post run beer for each runner provided by Sam Adams.

The 5K and 1 mile event is produced by the YPs Against Diabetes (YPAD). Speedos are encouraged, but not mandatory, but we do encourage fun, festive holiday wear.

This year we expect over 400 participants.  We hope that you will join us in this great event to help raise funds for our local nonprofit that has been part of the central Ohio community for over 53 years. 100% of our funding comes from the community to help Central Ohioans living with diabetes detect their condition, prevent onset and complications, and learn to live well with the challenge of diabetes. We do not receive funding from national agencies. We provide services to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay:

• Youth and teen day camp and residential camps
• Blood glucose screenings to identify undetected/uncontrolled diabetes
• Diabetes medical and nutrition education for both public and corporate clients
• Financial information and emotional support programs (Type 1 and Type 2).
